The Casino El Gezirah Barrière is located in the centre of the Sofitel El Gezirah hotel complex, one of the most prestigious hotels in Cairo. The hotel (previously the Gezirah Sheraton) is on an island in the middle of the Nile, in the heart of the Egyptian capital. The renovations were completed in June 2007.
The casino stands out from every thing else in Cairo today. The second floor of the hotel is totally given over to leisure. Pierre-Yves Rochon (head of design for the Chicago & Washington Sofitels) was given carte blanche for the casino’s décor. He created a truly unique game & leisure area with a red and gold backdrop. The Casino El Gezirah Barrière is now one of the largest casinos in Cairo (over 500 m²).
Private access available from the outdoor car park, leading directly to the private gaming area, for personalities who wish to enter the casino and play discretely.
The new casino concept will attract customers who wish to experience luxury in original conditions, to try out the special atmosphere at the Buddha Bar and customers who appreciate the quality of the Barrière welcome, services and professionalism.
